Meghan Blay, D.O. Family Medicine
Dr. Meghan Blay was born in California and moved to the Kansas City Metro area at age 11 and considers Kansas City home. During her undergraduate years in college, she played basketball at UMKC and Northwest Missouri State University, where she earned her degree in Biomedical Sciences. She attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences where she received her masters and doctorate. Dr. Blay completed her Family Medicine residency at Cox Family Medicine Residency program in Springfield, MO where she continued to work after she completed her residency.
Dr. Blay loves family medicine because it incorporates the whole person, mind, and body, and includes all ages, from birth on up. She loves preventative health and treating and managing chronic disease, including diabetes, hypertension, renal disease, obesity, and psychiatric issues such as depression/anxiety. She enjoys being hands on with minor procedures, including Nexplanon/IUD insertion/removal, joint injections, minor lacerations, and skin biopsies. Dr. Blay does female care including pelvic exams and is certified in cosmetic procedures such as Botox.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Blay enjoys reading, all things sports and outdoors, and taking care of her two rescue pups, Piper and Kobe. She loves being an aunt, including coaching her niece’s basketball team.
