Dr. Ayers, MD, is a compassionate and dedicated Family Physician, board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Ayers grew up in Lenexa, not far from Encompass Medical Group. After graduating from the University of Kansas Medical School, he spent five years in the Navy as a physician. While in the Navy, he trained in family medicine and was selected for specialized training to become an Undersea Medical Officer. Following his commitment, he returned to the University of Kansas and completed his Family Medicine Residency. In his final year of residency he earned the honor of Chief Resident. Dr. Ayers has a deep commitment to providing comprehensive health care to individuals and families in our community at all stages of life.
Dr. Ayers offers a range of services from preventive care and routine checkups to managing chronic conditions and addressing mental health concerns. He believes strongly in the importance of educating patients about their health to foster long-lasting health partnerships and informed decision-making. An active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Ayers stays up to date on the latest developments in family medicine to ensure he provides the best care possible.
Outside the clinic, he loves to spend time with his wife Melissa, their white lab, and their rather large orange tabby cat. They love to spend time exploring Shawnee Mission Park and playing board games with their friends
