Angela “Angie” Pettus, DNP

Angie Pettus grew up in Shawnee, KS and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence for undergraduate. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Avila University in 2014 and started her nursing career at Advent Health Shawnee Mission on the Cardiac Care Unit. During this time, Angie was involved in multiple committees, serving as the unit representative for Affinity Council, the Open-Heart Surgery Quality Improvement Team, and the wound care committee. Passionate about pressure injury prevention and wound healing, she completed her Wound Treatment Associate Certification.

Angie received her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Kansas in 2022 and is board certified in adult-gerontology primary care through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has a background in cardiology, endocrinology, memory care, physical medicine and rehabilitation. Angie is proud to join the Encompass team and is excited to utilize her skills to better serve her patients.

When not working, Angie enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include going to the park with her husband and son, reading, singing karaoke, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs.
