Dear Valued Patients,
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from medical practice, effective January 3, 2025. While I am excited to enter this next phase of life, I am a bit wistful as well. It is hard to believe that over 30 years have passed since I delivered the first of over 4,000 babies. I had a vision for my career, and it has exceeded my wildest dreams and caring for you, my patients has been the most rewarding part of that. Throughout my career, I never anticipated the deep connections I would form with my patients and their families. Helping infertility couples become pregnant, caring for her while pregnant and delivering their baby were some of my joyous memories. I am and will continue to be grateful for all the miracles. There have also been some moments of great sadness, including pregnancy losses, cancer and other illnesses, yet I always strived to provide as much support as possible during those difficult times.
When I started practicing, I was told to treat every patient as if they were your mother, sister, wife or daughter. I did my best to embody the spirit of that care every day. I wanted continuity of patients over the years and was blessed to have that. I have provided care for numerous women over the course of three decades, including many young whom I delivered. It truly has been amazing. I was able to deliver three and four babies for the same family and even delivered babies of some women that I had delivered decades prior.
I have enjoyed my association with Encompass Medical Group and want to assure you that my colleagues are ready to assume responsibility for your care. My colleagues at Encompass will have access to your medical record and will assist you with any inquiries or concerns you may have. Between now and the end of the year, I will continue to see patients and will do everything I can to ensure you smoothly transition to your next provider.
I will genuinely miss all of you and our conversations over the years. I am humbled and appreciative of you placing your trust in my care. It has truly been a privilege, and I wish you all the best for your future health.
